"Wrap Me In Your Arms" I like this, not my favorite off the album but she sings it effortlessly and I feel like I should be at a ball room dance. There are so many touching lyrics.one of my favorite is "I'll just have to be content, to learn by my mistakes.our hearts were just a breath away. The lyrics are one of the most beautiful John Farrar has ever wrote. "Small Talk And Pride" This is my 3rd favorite track, I love the way it opens and the music pans left to right, right to left. There is really nice vocal work by her on this one. This song may have a slight somber tone but it always makes me happy after I hear it. "Smile For Me" This is my 4th most favorite track off this album. I believe she sang a live version of this on one of her tv specials and it's excellent. Olivia has always been so good about interpreting a great lyric even when it's not John's. "Who Are You Now?" This song doesn't get a lot of credit but I really like it. I would die to hear a live version of this song. I don't know why the non hits affect me more than the hits on her albums but they always do. I absolutely love the lyrics and they way she interprets them are what makes the song lovely. They way she starts so strong and a wonderful song about our relationships. "Don't Throw It All Away" This is my #1 favorite song off this album. "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain" I like this song but it's not my favorite, obviously a very country feel but she pulls it off very nicely without any country twang. The lyric when she goes into acapella is perfect and the ending is much like the feel from Pony Ride.simply dreamy. "Greensleeves" Such a beautiful song, arranged by Olivia, she sang this on a tv show I believe. When I first heard John's was weird.hearing Olivia sing it so much and then to hear a male lead, yet John can get his vocals really high and still sound amazing. The versions are really quiet different and I love them both. The first John Farrar track and we would later learn John recorded this same song on his solo album. "It'll Be Me" This song has the most rock feel from the album, the guitar is a stand out. "Come on Over" This is my 2nd favorite track from this album, it's a nice song written by the Gibb brothers. Olivia has a way of ending the song with such emotion.no words but her airy ahhh, ahhh.vocals, so incredible. The instrumentation used to create this song adds so much, sounds we had not heard before in any previous Olivia track. "Pony Ride" This is the perfect Olivia song, makes her vocals appear as they are floating above the clouds. How she did that and never lost her voice for the entire Physical concert tour is beyond me. I remember seeing her on the Physical tour in 82 and still remember this song, the ending was something you had to hear live to believe, the notes she hit and held was nothing short of spectacular. "Jolene" I think anyone who listens to music will know this is a Dolly Parton song. This album I believe did much better in Japan than the US, I'm not sure how well it did in the UK. I can listen to this album and hear new things each time, her vocals have this warmth and intimate qualities, airy at times. I know for a lot of the fans it's not their favorite but I put it right up there with her later more popular albums. What I like most about this album compared to the earlier ones is that she was taking on more personal songs about relationships. Come On Over is such an important album for me, this was yet another album that was drawing me closer and closer to her as an artist.
